The Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Hong Kong, Mr Kerim Sercan Evcin called on the Office of the Ombudsman, Hong Kong, China and met with The Ombudsman, Mr Chan Jick-chi Jack , today (18 November) for exchange of views and ideas.  During the meeting, Ombudsman Chan explained briefly the duties of his Office and cordially exchanged views and explored areas of future cooperation with the Consul General, with the aim of strengthening communication and enhancing public administration.

This year marks the 35^th Anniversary of the establishment of the Office of The Ombudsman, Hong Kong, China.  To celebrate this significant milestone, the Office will host, for the very first time, an International Ombudsman Summit and organise a series of activities from 2 to 4 December 2024.  Ombudsmen from all around the world have been invited to these important events, and Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye, Mr Şeref Malkoç has agreed to attend and speak at the Summit.

Ombudsman Chan attended the 25^th Board of Directors’ meeting of the Asian Ombudsman Association in Istanbul, Türkiye in late June this year.
