Ombudsman visits Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption and proactively plans setting up Ombudsman Academy

The Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan, today (13 November) visited the Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption with his team of senior staff and met with Mr Woo Ying-ming, the Commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, and his team. During the visit, the group not only gained insights into the structure and operation of the Academy, but also understood further its training courses and academic researches through experience sharing and discussions. The Ombudsman and the Commissioner also deliberated on cooperative development for promoting good public administration.

 

Ombudsman Chan is now proactively planning to establish a Hong Kong International Ombudsman Academy, which aims at beefing up training for local government and public organisations, encouraging and strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the Office of The Ombudsman and overseas counterparts, as well as enhancing of the professional development for his staff.
