The Ombudsman’s Awards Presentation Ceremony held last week was more than about celebrating the outstanding performance of government departments, public organisations and public officers. It was also the perfect chance for the Office to undertake an important mission this year. Led by the Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan, the dedicated Election Task Force energetically promoted the Legislative Council General Election scheduled for 7 December to over 400 public officers and guests present at the ceremony.

In his opening address, Ombudsman Chan urged everyone to fulfil civic responsibility by casting their votes. He also joined in holding election props for group photos with department and organisation heads and public officers. Working together, they sent a strong message about the election and called on all voters to take part actively, contributing to the future of Hong Kong.
