Ombudsman supports staff participation in national studies course
6 September 2024
The Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan, yesterday (5 September) met with staff members before their departing for the national studies course. He encouraged them to seize this learning opportunity, reinforce their understanding of the current situation of the motherland and keep abreast of its latest developments, especially the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee and the strategic direction of comprehensive deepening reform.
To be held in Beijing from 8 to 13 September, the course will provide the participants with all-around activities, including seminars and visits to the local authorities and enterprises, to exchange views and gain an insight into the national administrative systems and policy areas.
This is the second consecutive year for the Office to send a delegation to participate in the national studies course. The Ombudsman attaches great importance to the active participation of staff in training and exchange programmes in the Mainland. Participants are requested to report to him on their feelings and gains upon completion of the course.
