To enhance the Office’s understanding of the current situation in the motherland and to keep abreast of the latest development of national policies from different perspectives, the Office of The Ombudsman from time to time arranges its staff to participate in national education programmes on various topics. Early next month, a group of staff will attend a three-day training programme on national situation and policies in Qianhai, Shenzhen. At a briefing session today (31 May), The Ombudsman, Jack Chan, met and encouraged the participants to actively engage in the sharing and learning programme to gain a deeper understanding of the institutional system and latest development work, and to foster close ties with the local authorities and organisations in the motherland.
