Ombudsman attaches importance to staff participation in national studies course

The Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan, today (16 September) met with staff members to hear their sharing of insights and experiences gained from the national studies course held in Beijing from 8 to 13 September.  All participants expressed deep gratitude for the rewarding opportunity.

 

The national studies course was hosted by the National Academy of Governance in Beijing.  In addition to attending thematic lectures about the strategies and developments on the political, economic, technological, diplomatic and national security fronts, the participants also paid visits to the Basic Law Committee of Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions under the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, the Museum of the Communist Party of China, the exhibition centre in the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone and Beijing Newlink Technology Co., Ltd. to deepen their understanding of the history and latest developments of the motherland.

 

Organised by the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the national studies course was also participated by the Equal Opportunities Commission and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
