The Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan, will officiate at the 29th Presentation Ceremony of The Ombudsman’s Awards on Friday (30 October ). Members of the press are cordially invited to cover this event. Details of the event are as follows:

Date: 30 October, 2026 (Friday)
Time: 2:30pm – 5pm
Venue: Theatre 1 (Harbour Road Entrance), Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Expo Drive, Wan Chai

The Ombudsman’s Awards are presented to acknowledge excellence in promoting quality public service and a positive complaint culture, and recognise government departments and public organisations that show professionalism in co-operating with the Office’s work. This year, a new Positive Complaint Award has been introduced to honour departments and organisations that address public grievances with an open and positive mindset, and turn complaints into opportunities for continuous improvement. Awards for Public Officers and Teams will also be presented in recognition of remarkable performance in public service and administration.

Please complete the attached reply slip and return it to the Office of The Ombudsman via email or fax by noon tomorrow (29 October )  for registration.
