The Office of The Ombudsman will hold the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong International Ombudsman Academy next Monday (25 August).  Members of the press are cordially invited to cover this event. Details of the event are as follows:

The ceremony will be officiated by the Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan; the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Chan Kwok-ki; the Director-General of the Department of Law of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr Liu Chunhua; and the Chairman of the Legislative Council House Committee, Dr Starry Lee.  In line with the Office’s commitment to advance good governance, the Hong Kong International Ombudsman Academy is established to offer training to government departments and public organisations, and to foster exchange and cooperation with overseas ombudsman institutions.

Please complete the attached reply slip and return it to the Office of The Ombudsman by email or fax on or before noon on 22 August (Friday) for registration.
