Ombudsman engaged with advisers to share annual work results

The Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan, yesterday (8 July) presented his 2025/26 Annual Report to the public, and brought together the Office’s advisers, along with directorate and chief officers, to exchange views and share the Office’s notable achievements in 2025/26. Over the past year, the Office achieved remarkable results in various areas and effectively monitored the public administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, bringing about improvements and tangible benefits for the public.
To cast the net wide for various sectors and professions, the Office’s team of advisers has expanded to 18 members. Mr Chan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the advisers for their valuable insights and practical advice, which have enabled the Office to handle complaints and conduct investigations in a more comprehensive and prudent manner. The advisers’ professional knowledge and extensive experience are instrumental in facilitating the Office’s supervision and enhancement of public administration.
The gathering featured lively interaction between advisers and the Office’s staff. The Office looks forward to maintaining closer contact and collaboration with our advisers, drawing on a wide spectrum of insights to further step up its supervisory role and promote good public governance.
