Over 1,400 young talents applied for Assistant Investigation Officer role in latest recruitment drive
1 June 2026
In March, the Office of The Ombudsman launched a new round of recruitment for Assistant Investigation Officers, drawing a record high of 1,449 applications. Eligible candidates sat the written test on 30 May, and the Office will undertake a rigorous selection process to engage the most suitable talent in its professional team.
The Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan, said, “With applications reaching an all-time high, I am truly inspired by the strong response from young people. Their enthusiasm not only reflects the younger generation’s passion for public service, but also affirms our positive and impartial image among the youth, coupled with the appeal of making meaningful contributions to society.” Through this recruitment, the Office looks forward to welcoming more exceptional talents to drive ongoing improvements in public services.
