The Election Task Force, chaired by the Ombudsman Mr Jack Chan, reconvened today (17 November) to discuss promotional strategies for the upcoming Legislative Council General Election. The meeting focused on enhancing publicity efforts during The Ombudsman’s Awards Presentation Ceremony scheduled for tomorrow (18 November), including placing election leaflets and promotional materials both inside and outside the venue, setting up photo zones and themed props to encourage public officers and their families and friends present to actively join the election and cast their votes.

Mr Chan hoped that the annual event, organised by his Office and participated by government departments and public organisations, can serve as a platform to strongly promote the important message of “Vote Together on 7 December” to public officers. He also called on all public officers to lead by example and encourage their families and friends to fulfil their civic obligation by making good use of their valuable votes, working together to build a better Hong Kong.
