The Ombudsman, Ms Winne Chiu, will officiate at the 23rd Presentation Ceremony of The Ombudsman’s Awards this Friday (8 November). At the ceremony, Ms Chiu will present the awards to the heads of winning Government departments/public organisations and public officers.

The Ombudsman’s Awards are presented for the purpose of acknowledging professionalism in handling complaints and to foster a positive complaint culture in the public sector. The Awards recognise Government departments/public organisations displaying a proactive and responsive attitude towards the Office’s investigation of complaints. The Scheme also honours individual public officers for their significant contributions in improving public service over a sustained period of time.

Members of the press are cordially invited to cover this event and to interview some individual awardees for their stories behind the awards. Details of the events are as follows:
